Welcome to the website of Hope With YouMom, a program of YouMom, Inc. (“HWYM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit located at 2823 N Australian Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website at hopewithyoumom.org (the “Site”).
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About HWYM and the purpose of this Site
HWYM is a faith-based nonprofit that supports teen and young adult mothers through mentorship and wraparound support. The Site provides information about our mission and programs and lets you contact us, express interest in a program, sign up for communications, donate, or volunteer. The Site is informational and is a starting point for connecting with us; it is not itself the delivery of program services.
3. Who may use the Site
The Site is intended for a general audience. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and any enrollment of a minor in an HWYM program is completed through our intake process with parental or guardian consent. By using the Site, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to provide it.
4. Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
Use it for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Submit false, misleading, or someone else’s personal information without authorization.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or another user’s data.
Interfere with or disrupt the Site, introduce malware, or scrape or harvest data.
Copy, reproduce, or reuse Site content except as allowed in Section 8.
Harass, threaten, or harm others through the Site.
5. Program interest and applications
Submitting a form, expressing interest, or applying through the Site does not create any obligation on HWYM and does not guarantee acceptance into any program. Eligibility, enrollment, and the specific terms of any services are determined through our separate intake process and the consent forms and agreements you sign at that time, which govern the services themselves.
6. Communications you sign up for
By providing your email address or mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive the communications you requested. You can opt out of emails using the unsubscribe link and out of texts by replying STOP. Messaging terms, including frequency, rates, and consent, are described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Donations, refunds, and corrections
Donations are voluntary and are processed through our third-party platform, Qgiv, subject to its terms. HWYM is a 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; no goods or services are provided in exchange for a donation unless we state otherwise. Please keep your receipt for tax purposes.
Correcting a mistaken or duplicate gift
Because we are a nonprofit, gifts are generally final and we do not offer refunds as a matter of routine. We understand that honest mistakes happen. If you made a gift in error (for example, a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, or an unintended recurring gift), email us within 30 days of the transaction at [email protected] and include your name, the date and amount of the gift, and a short description of the error.
We will review your request and, where we confirm the error, work with you and Qgiv to correct or refund the transaction. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
Recurring gifts
You may change or cancel a recurring donation at any time by emailing [email protected], or through your Qgiv donor account if you created one. Cancelling stops future gifts; it does not automatically refund gifts already processed, though you can still request a correction as described above.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can resolve it quickly, usually faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting us can delay resolution and may cause your donation and receipt records to be adjusted.
8. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, the “Hope With YouMom” name, and the tagline “Impacting Two Generations At A Time,” are owned by or licensed to HWYM and are protected by law. You may view and share Site content for personal, non-commercial, informational purposes with attribution, but you may not otherwise copy, modify, distribute, or use it without our written permission.
9. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to or rely on third-party services, including our donation platform and partner organizations. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service’s own terms and privacy policy.
10. No professional advice; informational only
Information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes and is not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services.
11. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, HWYM disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any information on it is complete or current.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HWYM and its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HWYM and its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
14. Faith-based nature of the organization
HWYM is a faith-based organization, and some Site content and programs may reflect that mission. Using the Site is voluntary.
15. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information. Please review it.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
